In May 2016, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, awarded the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition – West Africa (ITPC-WA) a grant of up to US$5 million. The grant will enable ITPC to extend its community-based monitoring of HIV treatment to eleven countries in West Africa, from January 2017 to December 2019.

As part of ITPC-WA’s regional concept note development, ASAP contributed to the regional dialogue process through the administration of an online survey and support in facilitating an in-person consultation with PLHIV networks and key partners from West Africa. The regional consultation took place during the 18th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) in Harare, Zimbabwe in December 2015.
